Can A. Vogel's Echinaforce be taken by diabetics?

The person is elderly (87 years old) and has type 2 diabetes, and is on medication for slightly raised blood pressure. Is also intending to take Ivy Thyme (A. Vogel) for persistent cough. Any advice would be much appreciated.
