Why is Obama pushing a health care plan ?

When someone did read the bill and pointed out the flaws he was quick to poo poo on it when it was in fact the truth. He keeps saying you can keep your own health insurance, yeah, until they are run out of business. We will all be forced to pay for this insurance, one way or the other.
