What car do i wanttttt?

I currently have a 1999 Pontiac Sunfire 4 Dr. It runs great and i upkeep it the best i can at 121k miles. But...ive been working the past 2 years and have put away enough to buy a decent car. I should have enough for my 2 years of college in Law Enforcment/Criminal Justice then heading to the academy. So money really is not an issue right now. I have 6100 saved up, I plan on selling the sunfire for about 1900 give or take and i also have a 1988 F250 w/ a hydraulic bed that i plan on selling if i can for about 1300? Giving me a total about 9300. I DEFINTELY do not want to spend it all but i do want a really nice car that is very reliable. Id love to have about 2k left over but its not that big of a deal. Ive been looking at Lincoln LS's but ive heard they have lots of mechanical flaws....so any ideas? thanks...
