Anamorphic art...i'm puzzled.?

Hi, does anyone have some resources on how to do anamorphic art? I am looking to use it on my body for tattoos but don't know how to do it? like is there someone who has derived some equations on how the reflective image relates to the distorted image etc etc? i can't find anything on the web about the science behind it. i'm no artist so i'm looking for some guidelines? thanks.
