Empirical Formula for 8.87g of phosphorus?

I would like to know how you would go about doing this: 8.87g of phosphorus are burned in air to form 20.30g of product. ume only a reaction between the phosphorus and oxygen. How would you go about finding the Empirical formula for that? Any explanation would be greatly appreciated.
