When target shooting with a rifle on a bullseye board, if you hit a divider ring does it count as (ex.) a 9/8?

ok so i was target shooting and in order it goes bullseye,10,9,8,7. So my question is, if the bullet hits the actual divider ring of say, 9 and 8, would it count as the 9 or the 8? and another thing is, if it is in one of the rings but still touching one of the diveder rings does it count as that rings number or the next ring outwards?
