M air flow sensor?

Hi, recently i was sitting at a stop light and when i went to take of my car spit and sputtered when trying to excel until about 3000 rpm and then it goes and also it idles kinda ruff. i recently change my air filter and the sparks plugs and wires only have 4k miles on them. i was wondering if my m air flow sensor could be causing it to run like crap and idle bad. if so what can i cleaner my sensor with. any help would be nice.
